We’re not an engineering company writing manuals as a sideline – we’re a tech-doc company developing tech-doc every day with a dedicated and experienced tech-doc staff (over 12 years of experience on average) working within processes designed specifically for tech-doc preparation.
Every piece of manufactured equipment needs some level of user documentation in order to operate, maintain, and repair it. Sometimes, user documentation is a simple, single page instruction sheet. Sometimes, it’s tens of thousands of pages of very specific and complex documentation in multiple volumes or consists of electronic data presented via an Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM) in a stand alone application or sourced from a content database environment.
Our specialty ranges from incorporating changes in existing TMs to generating, collecting and compiling source data and developing new TMs from engineering data. We also specialize in Mil-Std work package manual development, as well as vendor manual conversions to Mil-Std formats and digital conversions from paper or existing electronic formats.
Source data typically consists of engineering data such as maintenance plans, engineering drawing packages, photographs, vendor manuals, etc.... Our technical writers and researchers work closely with customer engineering staff to ensure data accuracy and validity. We evaluate the impact of source data on a project to determine how best to incorporate it in accordance with governing specifications and customer preferences as well as it’s potential applicability in other related product documentation.
