Aircrew Life Support Systems (ALSS)
HKA has been providing technical manual support to NAVAIR Aviation Life
Support Systems (ALSS) under various contracts continuously since 1988. The
support provided includes the preparation of Changes, Revisions, Basic Issues,
and electronic conversion, as well as development and maintenance of documentation
style sheets and templates for the standardization of ALSS documentation.
The scope of work includes developing, updating, and maintaining ALSS 13-series technical manuals to ensure the technical manual program for this critical manned weapons subsystem is properly maintained and free of defects in its operational environment. In-service Aviation Life Support Systems demand the highest quality preventive maintenance achievable. Since the quality of maintenance performed of in-service ALSS is directly affected by the quality of their maintenance manuals, anything less than the best possible technical manual program is a disservice to the aircrew member and potentially life-threatening.
HKA has been awarded three consecutive prime contracts and two consecutive first tier subcontracts to provide the ALSS community with this level of support. To date we have delivered in excess of 71,000 ALSS technical documentation pages without a single rejection.
